Beer Bowl & Rose Bowl & Training DayThe following is infor on the Rose Bowl - a womens 1 day tourny. The Beer Bowl is a mens tourny, details to follow. It will also take place on the 8th but will be in Grangegorman.Marko ==== 'The Annual 1 Day Indoor Hat Tournament' on Saturday 8th of December. Venue will be the Sports halls in DCU, Glasnevin. For anyone who doesn't know, the Rose Bowl is a one day women's indoor hat tournament held every year by the IFDA. A hat tournament is when players from all levels sign up individually , we then make teams from the list of players as evenly as possible. Teams are announced on the day, and play for the trophy and many other wonderful prizes! It's loads of fun, and a great opportunity to get to know the other girls who play ultimate in Ireland. As usual there'll be a great party on the night with us and the boys. If you need somewhere to sleep we will provide you with a fabulous piece of floor space. Any girl, of any level can play! So please spread the word. There'll be a sign-up sheet on the Irishultimate.com site soon, I'll send out an email when the registration is open. Not sure of the cost just yet, but it definitely won't be more than €10. As well as the Rose Bowl, on the Sunday of that weekend will be the 'Murphy Family Re-union'. A training session about skills and techniques open to any Irish Ultimate player who wishes to attend. So details for that are: When: December 9th, 1pm - 4pm What: Murphy Family Re-union (Open training session about skills and techniques). BEER BOWL INFOEvening folks,this is a-coming, drunk Ultimate = key. Get involved! Marko ==== Hello everyone, Going into their 4th and 3rd year respectively, the Rose and Beer Bowls are back to give everybody one last work out before Christmas. Who? Everybody! What? The Bowls. Where? DCU (Rose Bowl) and Grangegorman (Beer Bowl). When? December 8th, all day. Why? 'Cos your momma told you to! As an added extra, Sunday December 9th will host a Murphy Family Reunion training session. This will be open to everyone (male and female) but will focus on advanced drills most specifically those used by Paddy and Biddy Murphy this summer prior to the European Ultimate Championships. If you would like to get a taste of what those training sessions are like or would simply like to improve some parts of your game, then this will be a great session for you to come to. Everybody that is interested in signing up for the Bowls should go http://www.irishultimate.com/players/login. php and set up their own account in the new Irish Ultimate Players section. The system will copy as many of your details as possible from either your summer league or Co-Ed Slab of Beer sign up. Hopefully you'll all find it easy enough to use.
